Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 5:30 to 8 PM. We are incredibly fortunate to have the Honorable Richard Linn, Circuit Judge on the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit join us at this meeting. The program will be "A Night with Judge Linn," where we will have a conversation with the judge in the style of "Inside the Actors Studio." This is an event you absolutely will not want to miss.
The meeting is being sponsored by McKeon Meunier Carlin & Curfman, LLC and will be held at the Georgia Bar Center.
For those of you who do not know, Judge Linn has been the primary driving force behind the establishment of the various IP-related Inns of Court around the country, and our own Inn in particular. There are now 16 such Inns, who are all members of the Linn Inn Alliance. The American Inns of Court Foundation, the national organization for the Inns around the world, recognized Judge Linn's contributions in 2011 by awarding him the A. Sherman Christensen Award for distinguished, exceptional and significant leadership to the American Inns of Court movement.
Perhaps most importantly, Judge Linn is an incredibly down-to-earth, genuine person, and I know he will relish the opportunity to spend time with our Inn.
Given Judge Linn's dedication not only to the Inns of Court generally but also to the Atlanta Inn specifically, I hope we will have an exceptional turnout to show our appreciation for his efforts. Inn members may also invite a guest to one meeting per year, so this might be a good one to do so. Just be sure to inform myself and Chad Pannel (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you intend to bring a guest, because space likely will become an issue. There is also a $25 charge for guests.
