Wednesday, April 19, 2017 - 5:30pm to 8:00pm - Northern District of Georgia
Please join us as our April Pupilage group teaches us about domain name disputes! Trademark law and domain names have clashed for more than 20 years. Although the legal issues are now well-developed, the cybersquatting problem is far from resolved. Indeed, last year saw a record number of domain name disputes filed with WIPO, the leading provider of services under the popular Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). Still, many trademark owners (and even IP practitioners) are unaware of how to avoid and resolve these issues, even as new top-level domain names and dispute policies have been created.
