Atlanta IP Inn of Court Members:
As I mentioned at the meeting last night, we are now accepting nominations for the Pro Bono Award for the 2015/2016 Inn year. This will be the fifth year that the Inn has given the award. The award is given to a member of the Atlanta IP community that has excelled in some type of pro bono activity last year. I have formed a committee, comprising myself, Sabina Vayner and Judy Jarecki-Black, to consider all of the submissions. We will present the award to the winner at the Inn dinner in May so we need all nominations in before April 1st. Here are a few items about the award and making nominations:
The award winner should be a practicing IP attorney in the Atlanta area but doesn't necessarily need to be a member of the Inn.
You can make a nomination by sending me or any member of the Inn executive committee an e-mail outlining the work done by the individual that you believe makes that person worthy of the award. It doesn't have to be anything "formal"-a couple of paragraphs in an e-mail will suffice to get the process rolling.
For those of you that have submitted non-winning nominations in the past, please consider submitting the person again if that person has continued to excel in the pro bono area during the past year.
The pro bono work doesn't necessarily have to be in the IP area.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks in advance for your help in creating a great slate of nominations.
Best Regards, Frank
